We are located in North Portland’s Kenton neighborhood, directly across from the Kenton/N Denver Avenue MAX station on TriMet’s Yellow Line. Plan your train route here.
On-site and street parking is available. After 6 pm, you may park in the Wells Fargo lot next door. The gallery entrance is located on the southeast side of the building between N Interstate Avenue and N McClellan Street, within the courtyard.
Hours
We are open when exhibitions are on view from Friday to Sunday, noon to 5 PM. Additionally, we are often able to accommodate visits by appointment. Please email us at info@oregoncontemporary.org to schedule a visit.
Admission to exhibitions is free and open to the public. However, please note that performances and events may require RSVPs, admission fees, or advance ticket sales.
Accessibility
Large-type gallery guides are available at the front desk for exhibitions. We provide signage in Braille format throughout the buidling including spaces such as restrooms, tenant spaces, our green room, and our office. Wheelchairs and strollers are welcome in the galleries, although some installations may limit access. Please contact us with any questions or concerns regarding accessibility for visitors with disabilities by emailing info@oregoncontemporary.org.
Guidelines
We welcome and encourage viewers of all ages to attend our visual art exhibitions, but please be advised that the content of some artwork and performances may be directed to adult audiences. Parents and teachers are advised to preview exhibitions. Some events may be 21+ or include mature content.
We request that groups of 10 or more make an appointment prior to their visit.
Do not touch or climb on the artworks.
Children under 12 should be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Dogs on leashes are welcome on-site.

If you would like information about renting our space, partnering with us to present art through the Platform program, or internships and volunteering, please fill out the form in the corresponding section of the website. We do not accept submissions for our programs, with the exception of the Platform program and the Portland Biennial. Our call for Biennial submissions can be found on websites that list arts opportunities, including the Regional Arts and Culture Council’s website (racc.org).
